FOR CJ RACEWAY



1. The purpose of this class is to take a car off the street and build an affordable, safe and entertaining entry level car to race, have fun with and gain driving experience.

2. BODY: Full body passenger cars with stock sheet metal V-8 rear wheel drive with minimum 106" wheel base V-6 front wheel drive with minimum 105" wheel base [NO 3800cc GM engines]

3. FRAME & SUSPENSION: Stock parts and stock location, wheel base must be within 1 inch side to side. Unibody may be tied together with tubing.

4. Engine: 100% stock [will be checked with vacuum gauge]. Rear wheel drive 1 stock 2-barrell. Front wheel drive 1 stock 2-barrell or factory stock fuel injection. NO factory turbo or superchargers.

5. Wheels & Tires: Factory steel or alloy rims 7" maximum. No after market racing rims. 7" maximum DOT tires. No recaps, No mud & snow, No shaving, No grooving, No studs and No pick-up tires, 4-ply maximum. A minimum of 32lbs of tire pressure in every tire after the race.

6. Fuel Tank & Fuel: Fuel cell securely mounted in the trunk with a fire wall between trunk and driver. Pump gas only.

7. DRIVE TRAIN: Stock clutch, Stock transmission, Stock rear end, Stock front end, and No locking devices of any kind. Stock Stock Stock!!!

8. ROLL CAGE: 4-post rollcage with X brace minimum .095 thick tubing with 1.7 outside diameter. 3-door bars driver side and 2 or X on passenger side. If you have to bolt to the floor a minimum of 6x6 plate 3/8 thick on both sides of floor with 4- 3/8 bolts in each plate. No front or rear hoops. Cages will be closely inspected. Even if car has ran before it may not pass.

9. Misc. All glass, lights, mirrors, chrome trim and any combustible material must be removed. Stock exhaust past firewall. All doors welded, chained or bolted shut. Battery securely mounted in enclosed container. Hood and trunk lids must be secured. Tow hooks front and rear.

10. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: REQUIRED 5-point racing belts, racing or approved seat, Snell 98 or better racing helmet. Drivers suit. Window net.

11.GENERAL: Cars must be clearly numbered with contrasting colors 20" high + 3" wide on both sides. No more than 2 numbers. Points will go with the car number. No changing cars or numbers after car is signed in at pit office.

TOW HOOKS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

BEFORE YOU CALL WITH QUESTIONS THINK OF THIS. IF IT WAS NOT ON THE CAR WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY AND IS NOT INSIDE OF OR PART OF THE ROLL CAGE IT IS PROBABLY NOT LEGAL.

Any amendments to the rules will be up to track officials and will be announced at drivers meetings.

This is strictly an entry level novice class for fun. If you want to go faster or by trick parts, there are 4 other classes you may compete in.
